The Sui network, a layer-1 blockchain developed by Mysten Labs, experienced a network outage on Thursday after its mainnet stalled, halting transaction processing.
The Sui team confirmed on X that the mainnet was experiencing a network stall and that the core team was actively working on a solution. The cause of the disruption has not yet been disclosed.
This marks the second technical disruption for Sui this year. The network previously faced a period of degraded performance and an outage earlier in 2026.
Sui, which launched in 2023, competes with Ethereum and Solana by offering high-speed transactions and low fees. The native SUI token is down 8% in the last 24 hours, though broader crypto market conditions remain mixed.
