F2Pool co-founder Wang Chun sold a condominium in Pattaya, Thailand, for just 7 Bitcoin after paying 2,900 BTC in 2015. The property, originally valued at $785,000 when Bitcoin traded around $270, is now worth approximately $194 million-despite a recent dip.

This decision underscores the massive opportunity cost of early crypto investments. While Bitcoin surged to over $126,000 in October 2025, the original purchase would have been worth $365 million at its peak.
Chun’s move reflects broader trends among early adopters, such as Binance founder Changpeng Zhao, who also sold real estate to invest in Bitcoin during its early stages.
His time in Pattaya helped him obtain a Saint Kitts and Nevis passport and a U.S. visa, while also launching F2Pool’s Zcash mining pool.
