Billionaire investor Ron Baron, Founder and CEO of Baron Capital, is making a massive prediction for SpaceX. In an interview with CNBC, Baron said the aerospace and AI company, which filed for an IPO in April, could eventually become the largest company on Earth.
Baron estimates SpaceX's public debut could value the company at $1.5 to $1.75 trillion. However, he projects that within the next 10 to 15 years, its market cap could soar to between $10 and $30 trillion. He added that his estimate might even be conservative.
Baron credits this potential growth entirely to founder and CEO Elon Musk. He highlighted Musk's innovations, including the reusable Falcon 9 rocket and the Starlink satellite network, as key drivers. Baron also pointed to Musk's vision for space-based data centers, which would leverage free solar electricity and cooling, solving terrestrial challenges like water scarcity and high energy costs.
