A former U.S. bank manager is accused of stealing $16,000 from an elderly customer’s account and $4,000 from a branch vault.
Sandra Adams, who was fired in July 2024, was sanctioned by the Federal Reserve for the misconduct. The theft occurred between November 2023 and July 2024.
The Fed stated Adams violated banking laws, regulations, and internal policies. She is now permanently barred from working in the banking industry.
It remains unclear what became of the stolen funds.
