Commuters in Atlantic Canada are experiencing relief at the pump as local utility boards implemented widespread price decreases. However, experts warn this respite may be short-lived, potentially lasting only a few days amid market uncertainty linked to the Iran war.

Experts advise filling up tanks now, anticipating a "bumpy ride" in fuel costs over the coming months. The Newfoundland and Labrador regulator reduced the maximum price of regular gasoline by 13.5 cents per litre. New Brunswick's energy board cut its maximum by five cents per litre. The Halifax area saw a 1.7-cent decrease, while Prince Edward Island's minimum price saw no change.
