Singapore COE Premiums Surge Across All Categories to Multi-Month Highs

SINGAPORE: Certificate of Entitlement (COE) premiums closed higher across all categories in the March 18, 2026 bidding exercise.

For smaller cars in Category A, premiums reached S$111,890 - the highest since October last year. Larger cars in Category B rose to S$115,568. Open category COEs climbed to S$118,119. Commercial vehicle premiums hit S$78,000. Motorcycle premiums surged 11.5% to S$9,589.

A total of 4,666 bids competed for 3,158 available COEs.

Acting Transport Minister Jeffrey Siow confirmed earlier this month that the Land Transport Authority will review COE car categorisation - citing sustained convergence between Category A and Category B premiums, including a rare inversion on February 20 when Category B fell below Category A for the first time since March 2020.
