Franklin Templeton, a financial behemoth managing $1.7 trillion in assets, is partnering with Ondo Finance to introduce tokenized versions of traditional investment products to blockchain users. This collaboration aims to provide 24/7 access to U.S. markets through blockchain-based tokens that represent real-world assets like stocks and ETFs.

These tokens can be held in digital wallets, allowing users to invest without the need for a brokerage account. The partnership includes educational initiatives to help crypto-native users understand long-term investment strategies.

Ondo Global Markets, launched in September 2025, has seen significant traction with over $620 million in value locked and $12 billion in trading volume across 60,000 users. The integration of blockchain could transform asset movement and accessibility, challenging traditional market structures and intermediaries.

However, regulatory frameworks for tokenized securities remain underdeveloped, and competition is intensifying as other financial giants explore similar offerings.
