A culinary school graduate in his 30s, known as BradleyOnABudget on TikTok, transformed his financial life. After graduating with $130,000 in student loan debt and a first job paying $12 an hour, Bradley chose extreme frugality over a lifetime of financial stress.
His daily routine is stark: identical meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner; no heat in winter; unplugging his refrigerator when leaving home. He supplements income through dog walking, pet sitting, and financial coaching.
The approach has drawn criticism, with many calling his lifestyle "miserable." But Bradley reframes it as an investment in freedom. "If I save my money, I'm allowing myself the chance at a better life," he told People.
Fortune reports his progress: by July, he had earned about $120,000 this year; August brought in over $18,000 across 10 income streams. Over the last decade, he has saved more than $250,000. He still has $114,000 on a Parent PLUS loan, which he hopes may qualify for forgiveness.
His core message challenges complacency: "How long have you worked and what's in your bank account to show for it?"
