Ukraine secured more than €10 billion in signed agreements at the Ukraine Recovery Conference 2026 in Gdańsk. The summit produced 160 separate deals across energy, defense, infrastructure, and housing sectors.

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk attended. During the event, Brussels disbursed the first €3.2 billion tranche of a larger €90 billion Ukraine support package.

A separate $3.4 billion agreement was signed with the World Bank. Key partnerships emerged between Ukraine's Naftogaz and Poland's ORLEN. The conference featured its first dedicated security and defense dimension.

The European Flagship Fund for Ukraine's reconstruction was also launched. Ukraine legalized cryptocurrency in 2022 and has signaled interest in using blockchain technology for reconstruction transparency.

The EU's willingness to disburse funds during the conference suggests faster timelines. However, Ukraine remains an active conflict zone, and continued Western political will is essential for sustained funding.
