France has confirmed its first case of Ebola, a doctor who recently returned from a humanitarian mission in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
The doctor was immediately admitted to a specialized facility and is in stable condition, the French health ministry said on Wednesday.
The Democratic Republic of Congo declared an Ebola outbreak last month. More than 260 people have died from the virus and 1,000 have been infected.
