Health Canada is recalling multiple Frigidaire gas range models over a serious burn hazard linked to delayed oven ignition.
The defect causes the oven’s bake burner to ignite with delay, creating a flash of gas that poses a burn risk. As of March 11, three incidents were reported in Canada, including one injury. In the U.S., 59 incidents and 30 injuries have been recorded.
Approximately 5,318 units were sold in Canada and 174,800 in the United States between June 2025 and January 2026.
The recall affects these models: FCFG3062AS, FCFG3062AW, FCFG3083AS, FCRG3052BS, FCRG3052BW, FCRG3062AS, FCRG3062AW, FCRG3083AD, FCRG3083AS, GCFG3059BF, GCFG3060BD, GCFG3060BF, GCFG3070BF, GCRG3060BD, GCRG3060BF, and PCFG3080AF. Serial numbers range from VF52200000 - VF54399999.
Consumers are urged to stop using the ovens immediately and contact Electrolux Group for a free in-home replacement of the bake burner. The cooktop burners may still be used safely.
