Adam Peaty claimed the British 50m breaststroke title on Wednesday, signaling his intent to reclaim dominance for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics. The three-time Olympic champion finished in 26.64 seconds, ahead of Filip Nowacki. Peaty, the world record holder in the 50m, sees the sprint event's inclusion in the 2028 program as a key opportunity.

"I know the World Championships is much more competitive. I want to be on top of that (Olympic) podium in two years' time," Peaty stated, reflecting on recent challenges.

This victory also secures his spot on the British team for the European Aquatics Championships in Paris this August. Peaty emphasized his drive for continuous improvement: "My job now is to go back to the drawing board and look at how we can improve, because as you know I like to be dominant."
