Arsenal has ended a 22-year wait for the Premier League title after Manchester City drew 1-1 with Bournemouth on Tuesday, making the Gunners' lead insurmountable with one match remaining.

The result gave Arsenal an unassailable four-point lead at the top of the table. City needed a win to keep the title race alive until the final day, but the draw ended their mathematical chances of catching the north London club.

Arsenal will lift the trophy after their final match against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on May 24. It marks the club's 14th English top-flight title and their first since the 2003-04 season, when the "Invincibles" went undefeated all campaign.

Arteta's squad, which features stars like Declan Rice, now joins club legends Thierry Henry, Dennis Bergkamp, and Ian Wright as Premier League champions.

The title is a relief for Arsenal fans who saw the team finish second in each of the last three seasons, losing late leads to City and Liverpool.

City, the dominant side of the last decade, had cut Arsenal's seven-point lead from early April to level after beating them 2-1 on April 19. But the champions drew twice after that, opening the door for Arsenal to win all their remaining games.

Arsenal fans celebrated outside the Emirates Stadium with flares and street parties. Many now hope the team can also win the Champions League title when they face defending champions Paris Saint-Germain on May 30 in Budapest.
