EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J., June 25: Ecuador coach Sebastian Beccacece proclaimed a national celebration after Ecuador's historic 2-1 victory over Germany, securing a spot in the knockout stage.

Ecuador finished among the top eight third-place teams across 12 groups. Beccacece stated, "Now it is time to celebrate with family and friends."

He emphasized this as Ecuador's greatest World Cup win, highlighting their journey towards excellence. Despite a rocky start with losses to Ivory Coast and a draw against Curacao, Beccacece maintained that no changes were made to their style.

"We retained our tranquillity and the same game plan," Beccacece noted, reflecting on the team's resilience. He expressed that balance is crucial, stating they neither exceeded expectations against Curacao nor fell short against Germany.
