Bryson DeChambeau experienced a difficult start to the Masters, shooting 4 over par in the first round. On the sixth hole, his tee shot struck a patron in the leg. He later faced considerable difficulty in a bunker on the 11th hole, requiring three shots to escape the sand trap.

After hitting the patron, DeChambeau apologized and gave the spectator a golf ball. Despite the incident, he managed to save par on the sixth hole with an impressive chip. However, his round unraveled on the 11th hole, where multiple bunker shots led to a triple bogey. Further struggles on the 16th hole resulted in a bogey, though he recovered with a birdie on the 17th. DeChambeau ultimately finished the day with a 4-over 76 after a bogey on the 18th.

DeChambeau will aim to improve his performance on Friday, with his tee time set for 1:20 p.m. ET.
