Belgium booked their place in the World Cup quarter-finals with a dramatic 3-2 extra-time victory over Senegal.

Senegal held a 2-0 lead after goals from Habib Diarra and Ismaila Sarr. The Belgian comeback began late with a goal from substitute Romelu Lukaku in the 86th minute.

Captain Youri Tielemans then equalized less than three minutes later to force the match into extra time. Tielemans scored the winner from the penalty spot in the 125th minute after being fouled in the box.

Belgium will next play the winner of the United States versus Bosnia and Herzegovina in Seattle for a place in the quarter-finals.
