Champions League holders Paris Saint-Germain have earned the right to claim their European dominance, but Bayern Munich coach Vincent Kompany is aiming for his side to achieve the same status next season. Ahead of their semi-final clash, Kompany acknowledged PSG's praise but expressed Bayern's desire to hold the coveted title.

"We fight for this title that PSG conquered already and they deserve all the praise," Kompany stated. "But we want to be in that position and we want to have what they have."

When questioned about facing PSG's potent attacking lineup, Kompany countered by highlighting Bayern's own offensive threats. "What are they going to do with our strikers? So it goes both ways," he remarked, referencing Bayern's forwards.

Kompany acknowledged that both teams are creative and adept at finding solutions in tight spaces. "It's about details. It's about intensity, about energy," he added. "The only thing we have, and the advantage that we have, is that we've been playing against PSG quite a lot, but this is the same for them."

Kompany will miss the match from the bench due to a one-game suspension. "I'll be sitting somewhere in the stadium, not too far away from them (the team), but I don't know my way around this stadium that well yet," he explained.
