Bayern Munich goalkeeper Manuel Neuer said the German side lacked the "killer instinct" that Paris St Germain showed, following their 1-1 draw Wednesday that sent the French champions to the Champions League final.
PSG advanced with a 6-5 aggregate win and will face Arsenal on May 30. Bayern, chasing a treble, bowed out after control but missed clear chances.
"We didn't have the killer instinct in attack," Neuer said. "We didn't have clear-cut chances, but we still created enough to score."
Bayern fell behind in the third minute and spent the game chasing. Harry Kane equalized in second-half stoppage time, but the Germans needed another goal to level the tie.
Coach Vincent Kompany admitted the loss is "bitter" but said Champions League exit is motivation for next season.
Neuer, 40, whose future at Bayern remains uncertain, praised PSG's clinical edge: "They were simply killers, scoring five goals in the first leg. That's exactly what we needed."
