Denver Broncos quarterback Bo Nix reportedly had a second procedure on his surgically repaired ankle last week. Nix fractured the ankle during the Divisional Round win over the Buffalo Bills in January and had surgery two days later. The second visit was with Dr. Norman Waldrop III.

Head coach Sean Payton confirmed Nix is rehabbing at the facility and progressing well. Payton did not disclose the second procedure. Nix is expected to be ready for training camp, though his participation in the offseason program starting Monday may be limited.

The Broncos lost the AFC Championship game to the New England Patriots without Nix. Last season, he led Denver to a 14-3 record and an AFC West title, completing 63.4% of passes for 3,931 yards, 25 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions, with seven game-winning drives-most in the NFL.
