Oslo is poised to host a historic Women's Champions League final on May 23, as Olympique Lyon and Barcelona set up a showdown at Ullevaal Stadion. Both sides feature top Norwegian talent, fueling local excitement.

Lyon advanced past Arsenal 4-3 on aggregate, powered by Norwegian striker Ada Hegerberg, who has won six of her seven previous finals. Barcelona, led by winger Caroline Graham Hansen, defeated Bayern Munich 5-3 on aggregate. Hansen grew up near Ullevaal and set up Barcelona's first goal in the second leg.

Norwegian Football Federation president Lise Klaveness said the semifinal results were ideal for marketing the final to local fans, calling the match "a symbol of the power, growth and development of international women's football." She expects a record attendance for women's football on Norwegian soil.

The final marks the fourth Champions League meeting between these clubs. Lyon won in 2019 and 2022; Barcelona claimed victory in 2024.
