Bobrovsky Shuts Out Oilers 4-0 as Panthers Spoil Edmonton’s Playoff Push

EDMONTON - Sergei Bobrovsky made 21 saves for his fourth shutout of the season as the Florida Panthers defeated the Edmonton Oilers 4-0 on Thursday.

Cole Reinhardt, A.J. Greer, Anton Lundell and Carter Verhaeghe scored. Sam Bennett, Evan Rodrigues and Michael Benning each recorded two assists.

Edmonton’s Connor Ingram stopped 19 shots. The Oilers lost their two-game win streak and missed a chance to move ahead of Anaheim for first in the Pacific Division.

Leon Draisaitl remains out for the season with a lower-body injury. Florida played without Aleksander Barkov, Brad Marchand and Sam Reinhart-among league-leading injury absences.

Lundell’s power-play goal at 14:21 of the second period made it 3-0.

Oilers captain Connor McDavid remains two goals shy of 400, one assist from 800, and three points from 1,200 in his NHL career.
