The Anaheim Ducks defeated the Edmonton Oilers 6-4, leveling their opening-round playoff series. Cutter Gauthier led the Ducks with two goals and an assist. Alex Killorn added a goal and two assists, while Jacob Trouba also contributed a goal and an assist. Ryan Poehling scored two goals for Anaheim.

Leon Draisaitl, Connor Murphy, Zach Hyman, and Josh Samanski scored for the Oilers. Lukas Dostal made 33 saves for the Ducks, and Connor Ingram stopped 22 shots for Edmonton.

Draisaitl opened the scoring for Edmonton, but Gauthier tied it on the power play. Trouba gave Anaheim a 2-1 lead in the second period, followed by Killorn's power-play goal.

Murphy and Hyman scored for the Oilers to tie the game, but Poehling deflected a Killorn shot to put Anaheim back in front.

Gauthier scored his second goal to extend the lead, and Poehling sealed the victory with an empty-net goal late in the third.

Connor McDavid was held without a point for the second consecutive game. Game 3 is scheduled for Friday in Anaheim.
