Celtic defeated Heart of Midlothian 3-1 in a tense final-day showdown at Parkhead on Saturday, snatching the Scottish Premiership title from their rivals.

Hearts needed only a draw to secure their first championship in 60 years and took the lead in the 43rd minute through Lawrence Shankland. But Celtic equalized just before halftime when a VAR review awarded a penalty for handball, converted by Arne Engels.

The game remained level until deep into the second half. After Kelechi Iheanacho hit the post, Daizen Maeda scored from close range, with a VAR check confirming his goal. Callum Osmand added a third into an empty net in stoppage time, sparking wild celebrations.

This is Celtic’s 14th title in 15 seasons.
