Caitlin Clark has been named MVP of the FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup qualifying tournament, leading Team USA to a flawless 5-0 record.

The Indiana Fever star, making her senior national team debut, averaged 11.6 points and 6.4 assists per game, defeating Senegal, Puerto Rico, Italy, New Zealand, and Spain.

Her standout performance came after missing most of the 2025 WNBA season due to a groin strain and ankle bone bruise. Clark played just 13 games last year, but returned with authority-scoring 17 points and hitting four three-pointers in her opener against Senegal.

This marks her second global MVP award, following her 2021 FIBA U19 title. Clark’s resilience has re-established her as a cornerstone of Team USA’s future.

The FIBA Women’s World Cup begins September 4 in Spain.
