Colin Cowherd believes Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams remains underrated, despite being named the cover athlete for Madden NFL 27. At 24, Williams becomes the third-youngest player to earn the honor, behind Michael Vick and Lamar Jackson.

"He's still underrated as a No. 1 pick at quarterback," Cowherd said.

Cowherd argues that Williams's non-traditional style causes the sports world to undervalue him. Unlike traditional franchise QBs like Peyton Manning or Joe Burrow, Williams excels off-platform, is 6-foot-1, paints his fingernails, and was the first NIL star.

"In music, arts, or movies, unique is celebrated," Cowherd said. "Sports are ordered with standings and wins."

Williams led the Bears to a 12-5 record last season, throwing 27 touchdowns and 7 interceptions, with seven fourth-quarter or overtime comebacks. Despite his rookie struggles, Cowherd places Williams in elite company.

"Outside of Josh Allen, I'm not sure anybody has his talent playing the position," Cowherd said. "I think right now Caleb is a top-five quarterback in the league."
