Copenhagen, June 8 - Christian Eriksen, the 34-year-old Danish midfielder, is recovering at home after collapsing during a friendly match against Ukraine.
Eriksen stated on Instagram that his Implantable Cardioverter-Defibrillator activated, but unlike his 2021 cardiac arrest, this was a different situation. He confirmed he is feeling good and has begun recovery.
The incident occurred in the 65th minute in Odense, raising immediate concern. Eriksen collapsed during Denmark's Euro 2020 opener and received life-saving CPR before being fitted with the ICD device. He has since continued playing at the highest level.
