Charlotte FC has officially signed French winger Allan Saint-Maximin to a three-year contract. The 29-year-old joins the Major League Soccer club as a free agent and will occupy a Designated Player roster spot.

Saint-Maximin arrives following the impending expiration of his contract with RC Lens. Negotiations commenced in late May 2026, securing one of European football’s most dynamic dribblers for the Charlotte attack.

The signing serves as a strategic replacement for Wilfried Zaha. Saint-Maximin brings extensive experience from his tenure at Newcastle United in the English Premier League, marking Charlotte FC as his 11th professional club.

This three-year term offers the expansion franchise significant flexibility. It provides ample time to build around a marquee talent while mitigating long-term financial risk in a competitive league landscape.
