Jamie Chadwick is setting her sights on a full-time Hypercar seat after making history as the first woman to complete a lap at Le Mans in the top-tier prototype. The 28-year-old British driver currently serves as a reserve for Hyundai’s Genesis Magma team in the World Endurance Championship.

After testing the car during practice, Chadwick says the experience cemented her goal to transition from reserve duty to a permanent race seat. She notes that endurance racing is where she wants to build her career.

Only two women are competing at Le Mans this year: Doriane Pin in the LMP2 class and Lilou Wadoux in GT3. Both drivers share Chadwick’s ambition, with Pin targeting a future seat with Peugeot’s Hypercar program and Wadoux having previously tested a title-winning Toyota prototype. For Chadwick, the dream is clear: race against the world’s best at the highest level of motorsport.
