Connor Ingram, 30, earned his first career playoff win as the Edmonton Oilers opened their first-round series with a 4-3 victory over the Anaheim Ducks. Ingram made 25 saves in a performance that impressed his team.

Acquired from the Utah Mammoth in October, Ingram was an unlikely playoff starter for the Oilers, who also had Stuart Skinner. However, Ingram's strong play in the final 15 regular-season games earned him the starting role.

Despite the limited playoff experience, Ingram embraced the atmosphere at Rogers Place, a stark contrast to smaller arenas he previously played in. "To walk out that tunnel today, it's a different animal," Ingram said.

Ingram's resilience was evident throughout the game, making crucial saves to keep the Oilers in contention. "He gave us a chance, so he was big," said Oilers forward Leon Draisaitl.

Coach Kris Knoblauch praised Ingram's demeanor and confidence. "He's enjoying his time here, feels confident playing in front of the team," Knoblauch stated. "He's just a guy who's enjoying playing hockey."
