Edmonton Oilers captain Connor McDavid, San Jose Sharks forward Macklin Celebrini, and Tampa Bay Lightning forward Nikita Kucherov are the finalists for the 2025-26 Ted Lindsay Award. The NHL Players’ Association announced the nominees on Tuesday.
The award is presented annually to the league’s “most outstanding player” as determined by NHL player votes.
McDavid, who is seeking his fifth award, led the NHL with 138 points and achieved career milestones of 800 assists and 400 goals.
Celebrini, in his sophomore season, set a Sharks franchise record and ranked fourth in league scoring with 115 points.
Kucherov, a previous winner, led the Lightning with 130 points and became the fastest Russian-born player to reach 1,000 career points.
The winner will be announced at a later date.
The Ted Lindsay Award was previously known as the Lester B. Pearson Award and was renamed in 2010 to honor Hall of Famer Ted Lindsay, a key figure in the NHLPA's formation.
