The NFL has announced that the Dallas Cowboys and the Baltimore Ravens will play in the league's inaugural game in Rio de Janeiro. The historic matchup is set for September 27th at the renowned Maracanã Stadium.
This game marks a significant step in the NFL's international expansion. "We are honored to be chosen for the NFL’s first-ever game in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil," stated Ravens owner Steve Bisciotti. The league has committed to bringing at least three regular-season games to Rio annually for the next five years.
While the NFL has previously held games in São Paulo, this will be the first in Rio. The 2024 season also includes a record nine international contests across four continents.
