Edmonton, AB - The Edmonton Oilers have acquired forward Colton Dach, a lifelong fan from St. Albert, Alta., ahead of the NHL trade deadline. Dach, 23, will make his Oilers debut Friday night at Rogers Place.

"Pretty crazy," Dach stated, reflecting on the surreal moment of playing for his hometown team. He was acquired alongside veteran forward Jason Dickinson.

The Oilers also brought in Dickinson, 30, from the Chicago Blackhawks. The Blackhawks retained 50% of Dickinson's salary. Dickinson, who hails from Georgetown, Ont., expressed his excitement to join a contending team and play alongside star center Connor McDavid.

"The opportunity to play in the playoffs is something to cherish," Dickinson said, noting it's been six years since his last playoff appearance. He aims to help the Oilers contend for the Stanley Cup.

Dach brings physicality and energy, while Dickinson adds valuable experience and a hunger for post-season success to the Oilers roster.
