NASA's first lunar voyage in decades launched at Kennedy Space Center just before 7 p.m. on Wednesday, captivating players from both the Florida Gators and Stetson University softball teams.

Madison Walker from Florida Gators and Gaby Bauer, a freshman from Stetson, paused to observe the rocket as it soared into the sky. Despite the excitement, Florida won against Stetson with a score of 8-2, continuing their unbeaten streak since 2006.

The historic trip involved three Americans and one Canadian, bound for the moon some 248,000 miles away. They will orbit the moon and return after approximately ten days.
