France forward Oscar Jegou has been cited for an alleged eye-gouging incident during the Six Nations defeat against Scotland. The flanker is scheduled for a disciplinary hearing on Tuesday.

The incident reportedly occurred in a maul just before Scotland scored their sixth try in the 59th minute of the match. While not seen by officials at the time, post-match footage prompted the citation for "foul play."

Under World Rugby regulations, intentional eye contact can result in suspensions ranging from 12 weeks to four years. This follows a similar case where South African lock Eben Etzebeth received a 12-week ban for eye-gouging.
