GIANTX has released Polish controller Grzegorz “grubinho” Ryczko from its Valorant roster. The move leaves the EMEA squad scrambling with only three active players heading into the critical VCT 2026 Stage 2 checkpoint.

Grubinho joined GIANTX in May 2025, quickly establishing himself as a core tactical asset. His leadership as a controller-the player responsible for blocking sightlines and dictating map pace-helped the organization secure a second-place finish in VCT 2025: EMEA Stage 2.

The timing introduces significant instability. Valorant is a five-player game, and GIANTX now needs to fill two roster spots to compete. Finding a controller is uniquely difficult given the role’s specialized game sense. No public explanation for the split was issued by either party.
