Greg Olsen, a close friend and fellow tight end, stated that the NFL is better off with Travis Kelce playing his 14th season with the Kansas City Chiefs. Kelce, an 11-time Pro Bowler, has repeatedly affirmed his desire to continue playing.
Olsen, who collaborates with Kelce at their Tight End University summit, recently spoke with the Chiefs star. He shared that Kelce remains passionate about the game and is excited for the upcoming season. Olsen emphasized Kelce's near-certain Hall of Fame status and his significant contributions to the league. "I think the league is great to have him," Olsen remarked.
Olsen also expressed happiness for Kelce as a friend and a fan of football, recognizing him as one of the best tight end-quarterback combinations with Patrick Mahomes. He hopes Kelce can retire on his own terms, acknowledging the rarity of such an opportunity in the NFL.
"If there is a guy who deserves his career to end the right way... Trav’s at the top of that list," Olsen stated, referencing Kelce's extensive accolades, including three Super Bowl titles. Olsen added that Kelce might be considered among the greatest tight ends of all time, potentially surpassing legends like Tony Gonzalez and Rob Gronkowski.

Olsen, now an NFL analyst for Fox Sports, is eager to cover more games featuring Kelce and the Chiefs. He also discussed using NFL IQ, an interactive hub developed by the NFL and Amazon Web Services, to analyze draft prospects and team moves, noting it provides fans access to data previously limited to team decision-makers.
