Eileen Gu defended her Olympic ski halfpipe title on Sunday, securing her sixth medal in six Winter Games events. The 22-year-old, who competes for China, is the most decorated freeskier in Olympic history.
Gu won the event with a score of 94.75 on her second run, a technically sound performance. She improved her score on her final run, cementing her victory. Her teammate Li Fanghui took silver, and Zoe Atkin of Britain earned bronze.

The competition, rescheduled due to a snowstorm, took place under sunny skies at the Livigno Snow Park. Gu's victory adds to her collection of two golds and two silvers from previous Winter Games.
Zoe Atkin, competing for Britain, demonstrated impressive aerials, reaching heights of 18 feet. Atkin, the reigning world champion, has been a consistent podium presence on the World Cup circuit.
