Dutch endurance athlete Hidde Weersma won the 2026 HYROX EMEA Championship in London on March 20, finishing in 52 minutes and 42 seconds - the first man ever under 53 minutes.

Weersma outperformed rivals including Alex Roncevic and Dylan Scott. Though Tim Wenisch crossed the line first, penalty point deductions confirmed Weersma as champion.

HYROX combines 8km of running - split into eight 1km sprints - with eight functional workout stations: SkiErg, Sled Push, Sled Pull, Burpee Broad Jump, Row, Farmer’s Carry, Sandbag Lunges, and Wall Balls.

Weersma, formerly with the Dutch Olympic strength and conditioning team, completed the run segment in 29:57 - anchoring his historic total.
