Lifehacker Health Editor Beth Skwarecki and Staff Writer Meredith Dietz are in New York City for their first-ever Hyrox competition. Hyrox combines one-kilometer runs with fitness stations. Beth, a weightlifter, and Meredith, a marathon runner, face off as a doubles team.

Beth wears the Coros Pace 4 and Fitbit Air, while Meredith uses a Garmin Forerunner 970 and Amazfit Cheetah 2 Pro. Both are equipped with heart rate monitors. The race promises to reveal which athlete's specialty prevails.
