Edmonton Oilers goaltender Connor Ingram celebrated his 29th birthday with a 27-save shutout against the Seattle Kraken, leading the Oilers to a 3-0 victory. The win extends Edmonton's winning streak to four games.
Ingram became the first goalie in Oilers history to post a shutout on his birthday and the sixth in franchise history to record multiple shutouts in his first season with the club. The Saskatchewan native now holds a 14-8-2 record after being acquired from Utah in October.
Max Jones, Kasperi Kapanen and Connor McDavid scored for the Oilers, who have won six of their last eight games. Edmonton sits two points behind Pacific Division leader Anaheim and three points ahead of third-place Vegas.
McDavid extended his goal streak to five games, leading the NHL in goals since December with 32. The Oilers captain trails only Dale Hawerchuk by one point for third-most points by a player before age 30, behind Wayne Gretzky and Mario Lemieux.
Seattle has lost six of their last seven games and remains two points out of a wild-card playoff berth.
