The Professional Women's Hockey League (PWHL) has achieved a historic milestone, surpassing one million attendees for the first time in its third regular season. The league announced Tuesday it welcomed 1,116,497 fans across 120 games.

Average attendance surged by 28 percent from the previous season, reaching 9,304 per game. This represents a remarkable 71 percent increase since the league's inaugural 2023-24 season.

On April 4, the PWHL set a new U.S. attendance record for women's ice hockey, with 18,006 fans filling Madison Square Garden to watch the New York Sirens host the Seattle Torrent.

The league, now featuring eight teams including expansion franchises Vancouver Goldeneyes and Seattle Torrent, sees several franchises utilize arenas shared with NHL teams.
