Italy's rugby wing, Louis Lynagh, is confident the team is on the cusp of winning the Six Nations championship. Following a landmark 23-18 victory against England, Italy's first-ever over the English, Lynagh stated the team is no longer content with underdog status.

Italy has also defeated Scotland this year and sits fourth in the standings before their final match against Wales. Lynagh expressed belief that the team can win the championship within the next one to two years, asserting their capability to beat "almost any team in the world" on their day.

He highlighted that the team's ability to secure a win against England despite a less-than-optimal performance is a sign of a strong unit. Lynagh, whose father is former Australian flyhalf Michael Lynagh, grew up eligible to play for Italy, England, and Australia but chose to represent Italy, a decision he does not regret.

Looking ahead to the final game against Wales, Lynagh emphasized the team's drive to make further history by becoming the first Italian side to win three games in a single Six Nations tournament, underscoring their potential for future growth.
