Olympic champion Imane Khelif's first professional boxing match in Paris has been postponed due to an injury sustained during training. The fight, scheduled for April 23, has been rescheduled after a medical examination revealed a painful left shoulder syndrome limiting her function.

The event, which was also to feature World Boxing Association title bouts, has been postponed entirely. "The health and physical well-being of our athletes remain our top priority," stated promoter Brahim Asloum. A new date will be announced soon.

Khelif's last official competition was winning gold at the 2024 Paris Games. She faced a gender eligibility dispute after being disqualified from the 2023 World Championships by the International Boxing Association following sex chromosome testing.
