NFL Draft prospect Jacob Rodriguez revealed his wife, Emma, holds a job that consistently amazes people. Emma Rodriguez is a UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter pilot for the United States Army. "Every time I get the chance to tell people what she does for a living, they’re blown away, and rightfully so," Jacob told Fox News Digital.

The couple partnered with USAA, the NFL's "Salute to Service" partner, ahead of Jacob's professional football debut. Jacob experienced a Black Hawk simulator with USAA, where Emma taught him to fly, an experience that deepened his appreciation for her demanding career. "What she does is very hard work, and it’s very stressful. But she’s up to the task," he said.

Rodriguez, who transferred to Texas Tech as a linebacker, and Emma, a West Point graduate, built a strong bond despite personal challenges and distance. They married on July 1, 2023. "It’s a true, special connection, and we’re just so thankful for each other," Jacob stated.

As Jacob awaits the NFL Draft, Emma is preparing for deployment. They will, however, experience the draft together. "With the NFL Draft coming up, she’ll be right there to support me. But if anything comes up on her side, I’ll be right there to support her," Jacob said. "I never take [my opportunities] for granted."
