Newly released dispatch audio has shed light on the alleged domestic violence incident involving Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs, capturing the sounds of a violent altercation inside his Wisconsin home.

The audio, obtained by TMJ 4, features a dispatcher telling an officer about the "yelling and screaming" she could hear on an open line from Jacobs' residence. "Things being thrown, open line," the dispatcher said. "…Possibly a male and female."

A second call captured a neighbor reporting that her neighbor had been assaulted. When officers arrived at the scene, Jacobs was not there. He had left in his Mercedes G-Wagon, but police tracked him using license plate readers.

Jacobs was arrested Tuesday after an investigation by the Hobart-Lawrence Police Department. He was booked on five domestic abuse-related charges: battery, criminal damage to property, disorderly conduct, strangulation and suffocation (a felony), and intimidation of a victim.

His attorneys, David Z. Chesnoff and Clarence Duchac, released a statement saying, "Josh vehemently denies the allegations, and this matter is in the early stages of investigation with important evidence that has not yet been made public." The NFL has been notified, and the Green Bay Packers declined to comment.

Jacobs, 28, just finished his second season with the Packers, rushing for 929 yards and 13 touchdowns. He previously led the NFL in rushing in 2022 with 1,653 yards while playing for the Las Vegas Raiders.
