Former Japan and AC Milan midfielder Keisuke Honda, 39, is set to play in the Singapore Premier League (SPL) next season. Albirex Niigata Singapore, which will be renamed FC Jurong for the 2026/2027 season, announced Honda has signed with the club.
Honda, who has nearly 100 caps for Japan and played in three World Cups, previously coached Cambodia's national team. He also has experience playing for clubs in Japan, Europe, Australia, Brazil, and Portugal.
"I am delighted to have the opportunity to play for FC Jurong," Honda stated. "My primary goal with this club is to win the league title."
Honda, also a co-founder and general partner of investment firm X&KSK, has been seen training in Singapore. The club's name change from Albirex Niigata Singapore to FC Jurong reflects a commitment to local roots and community integration.
