New York Knicks guard Josh Hart took a victory lap after his team swept the Philadelphia 76ers in the second round of the NBA Playoffs Sunday night.
The Knicks won 144-114, led by Miles McBride's 25 points. Jalen Brunson added six assists and four rebounds. Karl-Anthony Towns posted 17 points, 10 assists, and four rebounds.
Hart, a Villanova alum, finished with 17 points and nine rebounds. After the game, he took a shot at Philadelphia's broader sports scene.
"I used to think Philly was a sports town, I don’t know if it is anymore," Hart said.
Philadelphia's recent championship drought is notable. The Eagles won Super Bowl LIX, but the Phillies haven't won a World Series since 2008 and fired their manager this season. The Flyers haven't won a Stanley Cup since 1975 and were swept in the 2026 second round. The 76ers last title came in 1983.
To make matters worse, Knicks fans flooded Philadelphia for Games 3 and 4, helping their team close out the series.
Philly fans now turn to the Phillies' season and the Eagles' 2026 campaign starting in September.
