An injured Ismael Kone celebrated Canada's historic advancement to the World Cup last 16. The midfielder, who suffered a broken leg on June 18, was seen dancing in the dressing room after the team's 1-0 victory over South Africa.

Canada's Stephen Eustaquio scored the winning goal in the 92nd minute. The win secures Canada's first-ever place in the knockout stage of the men's World Cup.

Kone, who underwent surgery, has remained with the squad. He received visits from Qatar's sports minister and midfielder Assim Madibo, whose tackle caused the injury.

Madibo received a five-match ban for the challenge. Canada will now face either the Netherlands or Morocco in Houston on July 4.
