Kenya's Sabastian Sawe has achieved a historic milestone, becoming the first man to complete a marathon in under two hours. He won the London Marathon with a remarkable time of 1 hour, 59 minutes, and 30 seconds.

Sawe, previously undefeated in marathons, significantly surpassed the prior world record set by Kelvin Kiptum. Ethiopia's Yomif Kejelcha finished second in his debut, with Uganda's Jacob Kiplimo taking third.

In the women's race, Ethiopia's Tigst Assefa also set a new women's-only world record, crossing the finish line in 2:15.41. She improved her own previous record set in London.
