LPGA legend Michelle Wie West expressed deep emotion watching the United States' success at the 2026 Milan Cortina Games. U.S. women athletes secured 17 medals, including eight gold.

Wie West, who attended the games in Milan, witnessed events like Chloe Kim's halfpipe performance and the women's hockey team's "lights out" play. She described the season as "so uplifting" and particularly inspiring.

"I feel like every Olympics gets me really emotional. I can see athletes achieve their dreams and it’s so cool," Wie West told Fox News Digital. "It was really cool to see it in person."

She also found Lindsey Vonn's resilience inspiring, despite a "heartbreaking" crash. Three-time gold medalist Breanna Stewart echoed these sentiments, highlighting the "pride and passion" of U.S. athletes. Stewart described the feeling of winning a medal as the "highest of the high," representing something larger than oneself.
